“A touch of France Gall, a trace of Feist. And naturally with an abundance of charm!”

After her jazz studies in France, Carole Martiné, born in Paris, decided to move to Berlin to develop her own musical project. She gathered together her memories, experiences and emotions and began to write her auto-biographical stories in songs. “in French because it is more natural, and in English because sometimes you need a little distance and because it just sounds so good!”
Her instrument, her clear voice, stands at the forefront. It is “the door to my soul” and with it she sets her words in motion, and enthusiastically plays with high tones, whispers and improvisation…she is accompanied on the gentle Rhodes accordion, distorted guitar and sometimes with a hip hop groove. Carole moves freely between jazzy chansons and folk ballads, thanks to her many influences and sources of inspiration. She calls her style simply “Frenchy pop”.
It is charming, yet simultaneously has depth, familiar yet surprising: Carole enchants her audiences with her multiplicity. Her secret? Perhaps her natural, spontaneous style. Or as the French aptly goes: "La vie est une chanson, chante la!” which translates as “Life is a song, so just sing it!”
